The adult cardiovascular department is a growing and expanding service At SKMC that provides both inpatient and outpatient services.

It has unique services that provide excellent cardiovascular care  to Abu Dhabi community. Patients above age of 16-year-old from both genders are being seen on a daily basis from highly qualified cardiovascular team, including Canadian, European, and American board certified invasive and non invasive Cardiology consultants and specialists, mid levels , cardiovascular nurses and technologist with accumulative years of experience with cutting each technology cardiovascular science. 

The cardiology department At SKMC provides daily clinic by experienced cardiology consultant and specialist with a large number of patients being seen on a daily basis without delay for scheduling an appointment and easy access with a flexible, walk-in opportunity for patients  to be seen in the same day.

In the clinic, we present a comprehensive approach for the patient medical and Cardiac comorbidities reviewing and adjusting all the medications, updating all the medical information, ordering the surveillance echocardiogram, electrocardiogram, different modalities of stress, testing, including symbol, treadmill, stress test, stress echocardiogram, chemical stress test, nuclear stress test.

We do provides screening testing for coronary artery disease and peripheral vascular disease including Doppler US of LE , ABI, calcium score and carotid arterial US 

We have comprehensive cardiac valve, the diagnostic team doing all the necessarily work up for heart valve disease including diagnostic, catheterization, pressure assessment and trans esophageal echocardiogram with 2-D and 3-D techniques echocardiography

We provide full service for the diagnosis and treatment of multiple conductive for disease in the field of electrophysiology, including treating syncope, dizziness, hypotension. We have multiple ways to monitor the heart remotely, we do tilt test for patient with syncope, we do.  TEE guided electrical, cardioversion, or chemical cardioversion for patient atrial fibrillation

The scope of the inpatient service offers high-quality care of all acute cardiac illnesses including acute heart attack, acute congestive heart failure, acute hypertensive, emergencies, cardial, disease, conductive heart disease, rhythm, disorders, valvular heart disease, guide and triage patients with venous and arterial peripheral vascular disease

SKMC cardiology department includes different invasive procedures being done for patient who is in need for urgent intervention or diagnostic catheterization, including, coronary angiogram, heart, catheterization, right heart catheterization, and pressure assessment for patient with pulmonary hypertension and congenital heart disease, trans esophageal echocardiography for valvular heart, disease evaluation, and before cardioversion for rhythm disorder, temporally , and permanent pacemaker implantation, pericardiocenthesis , per cutaneous coronary angioplasty, including balloon, angioplasty, stent application, calcium manipulation with shockwave and rotablator, and high risk lift mean coronary intervention, treating as well severely sick patient with congenic shock with intra aortic balloon bump or impella device 

Our cardiology department provides cutting edge, modern technologies in cardiac imaging, including coronary CT scan, CT scan, calcium score, cardiac MRI with and without contrast. 

The team is planning to add new technologies and testing for patient with cardiology by  PYP scintigraphy cardiac Nuclear scan
