Biography

I am a board-certified pediatrician with 26 years of experience across the UAE and Yemen. I have previously worked across various private and governmental institutions ranging from primary to tertiary settings, and in both acute and primary care settings. I am currently a pediatric specialist at the pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition department at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City. Pediatric Specialist; Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition department, Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) Abu Dhabi, UAE. From February 2023 until date. Working as a specialist within the pediatric GI team covering inpatient, emergency, and infusion center. SKMC is a tertiary care hospital within Abu Dhabi, UAE, covering a population of 2 million people. In addition, SKMC is the referral center for complex cases within the UAE and one of leading regional centers for pediatric care. Pediatric Specialist; Madinat Zayed hospital, Al-Dhafra region, Abu Dhabi, UAE, January 2021 to February 2023. My duties consisted of covering inpatient service as well as Neonatal and Pediatric intensive care unit, in addition, attending to acute care cases in ED.Pediatric Specialist; Al-Rahba Hospital, Abu Dhabi, UAE, October 2009 to December 2021.My duties consisted of covering inpatient service as well as Neonatal and Pediatric intensive care unit, in addition, attending to acute care cases in ED. My responsibilities included managing patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit including maternity wards and cesarean section theater, inpatient wards, outpatient clinic, and Emergency Department, delivery room and caesarean calls. A provincial referral center for patients from all the provinces of Yemen. Primary teaching hospital affiliated with faculty of medicine, Sana’a University.
