Biography

"Caring of children is my real passion which I think that I’m really good at it. This passion motivated me to always look forward to make all the efforts to provide the best service to them. I realized that changes are not easy to be made particularly in healthcare and that I would need more than my clinical background to achieve it. At the beginning of my journey at SKMC, I had the opportunity to take over some administrative job that was small but I considered it as a big step in my career. I was asked to be the contract management unites manager for the newly established SEHA Dialysis Services (SDS). On August 2013 I was promoted to be the deputy CEO of Seha Dialysis Services (SDS) which was a big change in my carrier with more responsibilities. My main goals at that time was working with the team toward Providing the best quality of dialysis treatment, Develop a culture of united home, Promoting the idea of serving leaders and Smoothly integrated collaboration with other BE in SEAH. In July 2019, I was blessed to work as a deputy chief medical officer at Shiekh Khalifa Medical City under a great leadership that helped me reach my potentials. This opportunity came shortly before the unfortunate COVID 19 pandemic that brought a new challenge o all of us. We were able to experience a fast development in our carrier as put our hands together to support our country. In June 2021, along with the on-going COVID 19 pandemic is still, we have knew that it is the time to move on and continue our success. I had the opportunity to lead the paediatric department as the chair along with my role as DCMO. My focus was to build the team and expand and close all gaps when it comes to pediatric services. In February 2022, I was nominated to be an acting Chief Medical officer and I accepted the position knowing the challenges especially with our ongoing recovery phase and the overall leadership change. I can proudly say that the team came together and remained focus toward excellence that was proved through our successful JCIA reaccreditation; maintaining high quality of care; achieving high volumes in outpatient clinics and opening three more paediatric subspecialty fellowship programs. I’m currently working with my team to ensure having highly skilled workforce through retention and recruitment.
