Rizwan Ahmed

Biography

Dr. Rizwan Ahmed is a Consultant Cardiologist with expertise in Adult Congenital Heart Disease, Pulmonary Hypertension, Inherited Cardiac Conditions and Maternal Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, a Fellow of the Society of Cardiac MRI, and a member of the European Society of Cardiology Working Groups on Adult Congenital Heart Disease as well as Pulmonary Circulation and Right Ventricular function. He has a PhD in cardiovascular genomics from Imperial College London. He trained in Cardiology in the East of England. He undertook Adult Congenital Heart Disease training at Great Ormond Street Hospital, Barts Heart Centre, and the Royal Brompton Hospital in London. He undertook training in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance at the Royal Brompton Hospital. He served in University Hospital Southampton as a Consultant before moving to Abu Dhabi. His special interests include advanced cardiovascular imaging and hemodynamics in Adult Congenital Heart Disease.
